Trying to find a links manager
I've been trying to find an ideal solution for link hoarding. I've always bookmarked stuff... to never look at it again, forget it completely, and use search engines to find it again. Or bookmark it twice. See, I have ADHD: if it's not in front me, it doesn't exist.
So for the past few weeks I've been toying with the idea of creating an old Yahoo! homepage for myself. Set it as my "New Tab" on the browser and there you have it, all my links on my face. I started working on it on a Nekoweb page just to have fun with it, but that's not a very practical way to quickly save links.
I know there are "new tab" browser extensions in which you can add links to, but they don't have nearly enough room for what I need.1 I know I could just use the browser's bookmarks but--once again--they stop existing when they go into a folder. Also, sue me, but I want something cute. I use Raindrop.io to save blog posts, articles and other text-heavy pages I read/want to read later,2 but I don't see it or other similar products (Pocket, Instapaper) as adequate for bookmarking links like online tools I access or my pixel doll maker collection.
See what I mean?
Anyways, still looking up for options around the web... or I might just give up and use Raindrop for link hoarding too. Any recommendations are appreciated and welcome on my inbox.
P.S.: To the person who found my blog using Bing... How did this happen? What did you type?
