Using and Defaults in early 2026
This is a comparison list with the 2025 edition. At that time I was kickstarting the mission of becoming more aware of the type of digital products and services I used. Now it's time to see how much has changed since then.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the upgrades/changes I've made (as well as keeping the good stuff I already had, of course)! I've been having a lot of fun using Linux and exploring software. The only true downgrade is the headphone situation, my good one broke and I simply don't have the money to buy something of the same quality atm. I have my eye on a Marshall Major IV or a Porta Pro, I'm not sure yet.
As for the Cloud service, you'll see it's a bit of a mess. I had previously intended to just use Proton Drive but... Guys, it sucks, but I only really noticed that when I already had a few hundred gb of my files there. And then I found out it doesn't even work on Linux! Yeah, so now I have my files scattered on a bunch of clouds because I was testing stuff out and I ended purchasing 1 year of Sync.com... which turned to be a big mistake. I could've sworn it worked on Linux, but I guess I mixed up the info (I was reading about many cloud services at the time).
So yeah, this is the situation now. Not sure if I'll do another list like this in 2027, I don't see a lot more things changing now, but we'll see.
